My Time is Up... but first some last minute questions

I think I'm done. I have learned a lot by posting my own hairstyles and I have learned a lot from you. I just realized that my life is too busy to do everything and this blog. I don't think I'm teaching you as much as you are teaching me and as I looked on my email about a week ago and I saw all of the questions from all of you, I thought that I will never get around to answering all of these questions my self, so I'm going to post the questions and hopefully others will answer them.

I have made some great friends, I will keep this blog here so that if you ever need to look at it you can. I will try to get around to posting my last few hairstyles and then that will be it for awhile. I just need a break.

Thank you for all that you do for me!

Here are the questions that I've promised: when you comment to answer them please put the # of the question you are answering.

  • Question #1: "Yeah, could you please do a tutorial on how to curl with a straightner? I am very hair illiterate, and need all the help i can get! :)"
I have an answer for this one... I actually have made a tutorial but I just haven't gotten around to posting it. I know there are some great tutorials out there so if you know where a good one is please let me know or comment about the website.

Question #2: "I just got a spiral perm, and was wondering, if you have any tips to style it...... My hair is over my shoulder part way down my back.
I'd like it to look not frizzy, and pouffy. I want the curls to stand out and be distinct.
Do you think I should use frizz ease, for curls like the frizz ease model? ( /blond curls)
What kind of mousse should I use, and should I separate the curls one by one? to make it look good and put gel on it?"

On this one I don't have curly hair and so honestly I have no clue what to say. Please help her I would really appreciate it!
  • Question #3 is like Question #1: "Is it possible that you could post a video on curling with straightners? I've looked on you tube and other video sites but i just don't get good curls. I'm thinking it could be my straightners (not that good) but it's worth trying it again."

Hair Tip!

I just recently remembered a hair tip that someone gave me awhile ago and so now I'm going to share it with you.... These tips are to help you have a healthier experience with hair between your fingers.

I LOVE to pull my hair back when it is wet or damp because it makes the pony-tail feel tighter. Well I found out that it is BAD! When your hair is wet it stretches out because it is full of elasticity, then when it dries it shrinks again. When your hair is pulled up and trying to dry/shrink it starts to break over time.

So when pulling up your and/or your DD's hair either let it fully dry or atleast as dry as possible before pulling up the hair.

Let's remember:

Side Braid and Hair for the Mini Diva Giveaway

This is very simple... I don't even know if I need to explain.
I just did your normal pull to the side. Then I braided my hair, to the side.

And added a headband. This is so simple I did it on myself.
But it looks cute.

For those of you who didn't know Hair For the Mini Diva is having a giveaway.

Thank You Awards!

I would like to thank everyone who has commented on my posts. I don't always get around to thanking you so I would like everyone who has commented on my blog to take this award and pass it on.
Thank you for your comments, you don't realize how much it means to me.

Don't forget to check out the hair style below... Hawiian Request.

Hawiian Request

I recieved this email:

"On Saturday, my littlest is having her first birthday party. The theme is Hawaiian Luau. I need two dos. One for the 1yr old (almost) she has enough hair to make several little ponies or a running pony only on the top. Another for my 2 ¾ yr old- she has fine hair almost to the middle of her back. She will sit patiently- about 20-30 min. If you can just post your ideas on your blogs then I can look at them and hopefully be inspired. "

I want you to know that if you ever need ideas for something special to let me know so that I can help you.

This is my idea for the 1yr old:

I parted the hair and did 3 puff braids
and then one on the side. Then I connected them at the middle with a rubber band. Then I flip-curled the bottom.
when I think of hawiian I think of flowers. So I made this flower bow.
I took many flowers from our house and used the hot-glue gun to secure it to the bottom clip.
NOTE: it doesn't have to be in any order I just added the flowers at random.

Either comment or you can email me with your suggestions about the music or about what you think of my hair styles at hairbetweenmyfingers.blogspot.com

Cork-Screw Fancy

This hair do requires a lot of cork-screws so if you need help on it go here for a FABULOUS video! I couldn't figure it out until I watched the video so don't be worried it isn't long at all.

I just divided the hair in half, I inserted a rubberband and then divided the hair as I went along with the cork-screws.
I left the ends a little bit long. I secured the cork-screws with bobby-pins. And curled the ends.

I didn't curl the bottoms just because I didn't have time. But that would look so cute!
